Living

Uncover sumptuous spaces to socialise and unwind at Maren. Proposing moments of fireside repose, the living area features two grey sofas arranged around a brushed velvet footstool. Nestled within an alcove fireplace, a wood burning stove promises soothing moments in the cosy seasons, while in summer, white-washed shuttered windows can be opened to welcome warm sea breezes. A Samsung Smart TV adds entertainment during slow mornings and restful evenings. Elegant design details complement this beautiful space, with darling finishing touches, including framed artwork by Ed Williamson.

Please note that due to the characterful charm of Maren, the staircase is steep and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

Eating and dining

Seamlessly blending a vintage farmhouse aesthetic with modern comforts, Maren's gorgeous kitchen is adorned in white walls and awash with natural light, featuring large flagstone floors and a pantry framed by rustic, patina doors. At one end, a kitchen island with stools occupies a sunlit space next to glass patio doors and is illuminated by a striking statement hanging lamp. Meanwhile at the other end, navy blue cabinets topped with marble provide space for crafting culinary feasts. A wooden work bench complements the kitchen's floating white cupboards and grey herringbone splashback, while a black Aga with an induction hob creates a handsome centrepiece for meals at home.

Accompanying the kitchen's array of appliances and accoutrements, a Lavazza coffee machine serves aromatic blends, and a dedicated wine fridge awaits to chill vintage treasures. As the Aga works its magic, gather together for champagne and charcuterie around the island, before heading into the dining area to share anecdotes and dishes.

Adjoining the lounge in an open-plan design, the dining room features an Ethnicraft Table with four oak chairs and a walnut bench, alongside Oka side tables and a beautiful antique dresser. Striking gold and black tones adorn this beautiful space, adorned with dreamy décor including Emma J Shipley and Clarke & Clarke Zambezi wallpaper. Lending further ambience and mood lighting are a Kartell and two Liberty of London lamps with bespoke Emma Shipley shades.

Sleeping and bathing

Maren's first bedroom is a picture of perfection adorned in white and deep navy tones, embodying timeless nautical nuances. Taking centre stage, a king size bed bedecked in the finest linens rests beside a feature wall with Caspian wallpaper by Emma J Shipley and promises views over the roofs of the villages towards the sea. A built-in wardrobe provides space to store belongings, while a raised platform is home to a copper rolltop bath for soothing soaks. Uncover the ensuite bathroom with white and blue tiles and a walk-in shower, warmed by a heated towel rail and cosy underfloor heating.

Calling for nights of peaceful slumber, a zip-and-link super king size bed lies in the second bedroom, proposing a blissful sanctuary for couples or friends. Built-in wardrobes and an antique dressing table offer generous storage for treasures and complement the rich wood and forest tones of this space. Affording additional convenience is an ensuite bathroom, featuring a beautiful copper basin and a walk-in shower. This ensuite also enjoys a heated towel rail and flooring for the utmost comfort.

Both bedrooms feature a Hypnos bed, carefully chosen for ultimate comfort and blissful repose.

Outdoor space

Nestled within the heart of Port Isaac, Maren features its own private garden space for dining and reclining in the fresh sea air. Encouraging alfresco moments, an enclosed decking area is home to a Heals aluminium dining table which comfortably seats four and a bench for meals together. A perfect accompaniment to golden hour feasts is a black Weber BBQ; meanwhile, a garden arbour tempts for timeless tipples and sea views. For heavenly moments on the deck, immerse in the two-person Japanese Ofuro crafted from natural wood - just made for starlit soaks under open skies.
