Are you a data-driven sustainability professional with strong analytical and program development skill sets and a deep commitment to equity?The City of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations (OSI) is hiring a Senior Energy Analyst. This person will be responsible for the City’s annual greenhouse gas inventory, supporting our work on community-wide renewables, progressing our A2ZERO metrics accounting, and leading our emerging work on commercial building decarbonization in the City. You will join a dynamic, passionate, and supportive team working to achieve a just and equitable transition to community-wide carbon neutrality by 2030. The successful candidate will have both analytical as well as project/program creation and implementation skills, a deep commitment to equity, and will supervise one or more staff.

Ann Arbor City Council passed an ordinance banning summer use of gas leaf blowers, and phasing them out year-round. Looking forward to a cleaner, quieter, healthier season!

Ann Arbor’s new Home Energy Rating Disclosure ordinance is in effect! Now home buyers will be able to understand the energy usage and costs of the homes they are considering purchasing, as well as opportunities for improvements. Congrats to Jerrell Wylie and Stephen Christensen for the tons of work getting to launch!
