Top 10 Uncommitted Players in the 2025 College Football Recruiting Class: David Sanders Jr., Dakorien Moore Lead the Open Market | College Football Network (2024)

The 2025 college football recruiting cycle is heating up, with many of the nation’s top prospects already committed to their future programs. However, a handful of elite talents remain on the open market, creating a frenzy among coaches and fans alike. Here’s a look at the top 10 uncommitted players in the 2025 college football recruiting class.

2025 College Football Uncommitted Recruit Rankings

10) Jamie Ffrench, WR, Mandarin High School

  • Hometown: Jacksonville, Florida
  • Height: 6’2″
  • Weight: 185 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 25
  • On3 Rank: 19
  • ESPN Rank: 16
  • Rivals: 24
  • Consensus: 21
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Texas

Jamie Ffrench has the speed and size to threaten defenses vertically, and his strong hands and leaping ability turn 50/50 balls in his favor. He isn’t truly elite in any one facet, but his well-rounded skill set would be valuable from Day 1.

9) Zayden Walker, LB, Schley High School

  • Hometown: Ellaville, Georgia
  • Height: 6’2″
  • Weight: 225 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 10
  • On3 Rank: 24
  • ESPN Rank: 15
  • Rivals Rank: 32
  • Consensus Rank: 20.25
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Georgia

A top-two LB for all four major recruiting sites, Zayden Walker has no shortage of suitors to choose from. His top six are Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Penn State, and South Carolina, with official visits to the last four coming up. Walker is a coach’s dream, possessing the explosive athleticism to mold into an impactful on-ballor off-ball LB.

8) Caleb Cunningham, WR, Choctaw County High School

  • Hometown: Ackerman, Mississippi
  • Height: 6’3″
  • Weight: 190 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 22
  • On3 Rank: 15
  • ESPN Rank: 19
  • Rivals Rank: 22
  • Consensus Rank: 19.5
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Ole Miss

Caleb Cunningham set school records with 48 catches, 1,138 yards, and 24 touchdowns as a junior. As one would expect, the offers rolled in, but he has yet to decide on his future. At 6’3″ with the movement skills of a smaller WR, Cunningham can burn defenses downfield or create yardage for himself with the ball in his hands.

7) Ty Haywood, OT, Billy Ryan High School

  • Hometown: Denton, Texas
  • Height: 6’5″
  • Weight: 285 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 18
  • On3 Rank: 9
  • ESPN Rank: 17
  • Rivals Rank: 21
  • Consensus Rank: 16.25
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Oklahoma

Ty Haywood is an imposing force in the trenches, owning a coveted blend of size, athleticism, and physicality. He makes his presence felt most as a run blocker, using his powerful hands and relentless demeanor to pancake defenders. Yet, Haywood also has the footwork and lateral mobility to mirror and anchorin pass protection.

6) Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville High School

  • Hometown: Lewisville, Texas
  • Height: 6’6″
  • Weight: 295 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 27
  • On3 Rank: 12
  • ESPN Rank: 9
  • Rivals Rank: 10
  • Consensus Rank: 14.5
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Texas

Michael Fasusi is already a mammoth of a human at 6’6″ and nearly 300 pounds. Thus, it’s not surprising that he routinely mauls high school defenders, but what is surprising is his mobility at his size. While Fasusi is still a bit raw as a technician, he has the physical gifts a coach can mold into an all-conference mainstay.

5) Jonah Williams, S, Ball High School

  • Hometown: Galveston, Texas
  • Height: 5’11”
  • Weight: 175 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 7
  • On3 Rank: 11
  • ESPN Rank: 8
  • Rivals Rank: 16
  • Consensus Rank: 10.5
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Texas A&M

Recruiting sites are split on labeling Jonah Williams a safety or a linebacker due to his 6’3″ and 205-pound frame. He’ll likely spend most of his time from the box, but he has the range and length to wipe out bigger pass catchers from the slot.

From the second level, his change-of-direction ability and sideline-to-sideline speed allow him to chase down ball carriers and deliver punishing hits all over the field. Despite still developing his coverage skills, Williams’ athletic traits and penchant for making plays make him one of the most sought-after defensive prospects in the nation.

4) DJ Pickett, ATH, Zephyrhills High School

  • Hometown: Zephyrhills, Florida
  • Height: 6’3″
  • Weight: 170 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 9
  • On3 Rank: 6
  • ESPN Rank: 13
  • Rivals Rank: 9
  • Consensus Rank: 9.25
  • Landing Spot Prediction: LSU

DJ Pickett’s “athlete” label extends beyond the football field. In addition to splitting time at safety and receiver on the gridiron, he suited up for the basketball, baseball, and track teams.

Across the last two seasons, he caught 95 passes for 1,919 yards and 27 TDs while generating 70 tackles and five interceptions on defense. With official visits to LSU, Clemson, Georgia, and Oregon on the docket, Pickett could come to a decision soon.

3) Elijah Griffin, DL, Savannah Christian Prep

  • Hometown:Savannah, Georgia
  • Height: 6’5″
  • Weight: 285 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 8
  • On3 Rank: 4
  • ESPN Rank: 5
  • Rivals Rank: 7
  • Consensus Rank: 6
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Georgia

There are game-wreckers, and then there is Elijah Griffin. In 37 high school games, he has produced 248 tackles, 69.5 TFLs, and 19 sacks. The offers have come in droves, with nearly every blueblood program pursuing Griffin’s services. He’ll officially visit Miami and USC this month, but the consensus belief is Griffin will ultimately commit to Georgia.

2) Dakorien Moore, WR, Duncanville High School

  • Hometown:Duncanville, Texas
  • Height: 5’11”
  • Weight: 185 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 5
  • On3 Rank: 3
  • ESPN Rank: 3
  • Rivals Rank: 4
  • Consensus Rank: 3.75
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Texas

Dakorien Moore pledged his allegiance to LSU last August but had a change of heart last month. He took 65 passes for 1,303 yards and 15 TDs in 2023, showcasing the smooth movement skills and quick twitch that put him on the national radar.

Oregon and Texas made the strongest pushes for the WR before his commitment to LSU, and it seems the Longhorns are the favorites to land his signature when all is said and done — look out for Ohio State, who has made a late push as wel.

1) David Sanders Jr., OT, Providence Day School

  • Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Height: 6’6″
  • Weight: 270 pounds
  • 247 Rank: 3
  • On3 Rank: 2
  • ESPN Rank: 4
  • Rivals Rank: 2
  • Consensus Rank: 2.75
  • Landing Spot Prediction: Clemson

David Sanders Jr. isn’t just the top offensive lineman on all major recruiting sites; he’s the No. 1 uncommitted player in the 2025 class. There’s a reason scouts and analysts are already naming him a future first-round draft pick.

At 6’6″ and 270 pounds, Sanders has nimble feet, impressive length, and the athleticism to react, counter, recover, and operate on the move. But don’t take my word for it — the North Carolina product has also participated in track and basketball for Providence.

Dabo Swinney and Clemson have recruited Sanders heavily this offseason; they aren’t the only ones, as he has official visits slated with Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Ohio State this month.
