Reflecting on a beautiful 6-year journey at Mirema School, from internship beginnings to reaching Middle Management Level. It's not just a professional milestone; it's where I embraced personal joys—marriage, the joy of parenthood. Grateful for the invaluable lessons, professional growth, enduring friendships, and the unwavering support. As I bid farewell, I carry these experiences into the next chapter, optimistic that the journey ahead holds even greater opportunities. Here's to the lessons learned and the exciting adventures awaiting! #Gratitude #CareerJourney #NewBeginnings"

For the students that really wanted a graduate job but didn’t get one…Don’t Worry!👩🎓and here’s why…I wanted to land a grad scheme so bad, I worked incredibly hard, was on track for a First, published on the Dean’s list and had completed a marketing internship, I felt that landing a grad role would be the perfect step for setting me up in my career.Sadly, I didn’t get one. Not only was it incredibly competitive, I was being hit with memory tests, non-verbal reasoning tests, personality tests and so many things that really didn’t reflect my knowledge or passion for the industry. I felt so disheartened, like I had failed.Fast forward 3 years later and I am in a dream role at Gymshark, a company that has inspired me for years. Plus, the role is above the entry level that I would have been in a grad scheme. My point it, you’ll get where you need to be if you work hard, keep the focus on your goals and don’t give up! No matter which route you take, back yourself and you will get there. Landing a grad scheme really isn’t the be-all end-all ☺️#students #graduates #careeradvice #graduatescheme #graduatejobs

Outwork everyone. At practice, in class, on the job there is competition everywhere. What sets you apart is your willingness to do more than the person next to you. It’s having a beautiful indoor facility but still training outside under the Texas sun. It’s staying up late to maintain a 3.5 GPA. It’s squeezing in a part-time job or internship when you only have 10 hours a week to spare. It’s holding yourself to higher expectations before holding any expectations of others. Get uncomfortable, try something new, and do what others won’t - doors will open that are JUST for you.You worked for it. - Kudos to Marissa Watters, Derrick Mitchell Jr., and the Student Athlete Development Team at Texas Tech University for encouraging their athletes to get uncomfortable and network with working professionals. With your guidance, they are truly learning to outwork everyone else when it comes to their parallel plans. Athletes to Careers is appreciative to have been a small part of the TTU experience! #WreckEm- Are you getting ahead?aharris@athletestocareers.com
